disabled and disadvantaged people in our community
Tri Q provides a diverse array of employment opportunities for those who are disadvantaged or living with a disability. Tri Q do this in a number of ways and at different locations in and around Mackay and the hinterland region of North Queensland.
For example, trading as ChanSes R we are an important part of the waste management stream, greatly assisting the reduction of landfill through intercepting items destined for landfill and either recycling them or selling them for reuse - chances are you will find what you want at ChanSes R!
These items include second hand household, industrial or commercial goods which can be refurbished and sold through the ChanSes R recycled goods shop. Valuable items such as collectibles antiques and memorabilia are sold through the Carousel Room or online.
Tri Q provides these jobs by operating various business activities and reinvests
any surplus funds into providing more jobs
At Moranbah Tri Q operate a different business centred around refurbishment of air/water hose, guidepost and light fabrication, victaulic fittings and pipe cleaning and testing. These are all support services and consumables for the mining industry, local government and businesses in the Bowen Basin.
At Box Lots we operate a discount grocery warehouse, selling groceries to the public in Mackay at discounted prices. This business helps not only those employed but also our customers, through increased spending power.
All up Tri Q employ over 50 people in the district. We know that gainful employment for those with a disability has a strong positive impact on the individual, and meets the goals of a caring community - ensuring that all can participate.
Tri Q Moranbah offer cost efficient support solutions for the mining industry in Queensland. Services include light engineering/fabrication, refurbishment and product life cycle enhancement for mining industry equipment.

Box Lots is a budget conscious, grocery clearance outlet. Much of our stock (but not all) is sourced as end of line, close to date, cancelled orders, bankrupt stock, damaged packaging etc known as 'clearance stock' in the trade.
