industry Award paid jobs and training opportunities for
disabled and disadvantaged people in our community

Tri Q provides a diverse array of employment opportunities for those who are disadvantaged or living with a disability. Tri Q do this in a number of ways and at different locations in and around Mackay and the hinterland region of North Queensland.

For example, trading as ChanSes R we are an important part of the waste management stream, greatly assisting the reduction of landfill through intercepting items destined for landfill and either recycling them or selling them for reuse - chances are you will find what you want at ChanSes R!

Some items such as oil, batteries, tyres, metal, paper and cardboard are used for recycling and scrap processing. Tri Q processes upwards of 1,900 tonnes of recycled metal per annum.

Some materials such as glass and timber are remanufactured. For example, dog kennels and cubby houses from timber discards, and fish or reptile tanks from discarded glass.

Tri Q provides these jobs by operating various business activities and reinvests
any surplus funds into providing more jobs

Other items may be second hand household, industrial or commercial goods which can be refurbished and sold through the ChanSes R recycled goods shop. Valuable items such as collectibles antiqes and memorabilia are sold through the Carousel Room or online.

At Moranbah Tri Q operate a different business centred around refurbishment of air/water hose, guidepost and light fabrication, victaulic fittings and pipe cleaning and testing. These are all support services and consumables for the mining industry, local government and businesses in the Bowen Basin.

We know that gainful employment for those with a disability has a strong positive impact on the individual, and meets the goals of a caring community - ensuring that all can participate.
